Migratory birds pass through many countries, lands, and continents, and as a result, they
are privileged animals that get to travel through countries without visas. Therefore, the conservation of migratory
birds cannot be achieved by just one country, but by a collaboration of many
countries. World Migratory Bird Day has been celebrated on the second weekend of every May since
2006. During this weekend, people from all over the world unite under one theme
to celebrate migratory birds. The theme of this year is “Land use changes from
a bird’s eye-view”. Out of the 487 species of birds that inhabit Mongolia, 391
species are migratory as Mongolia is located at the intersection of world’s
major migratory routes. Therefore, like all the other countries in the world,
we celebrate this day to research, conserve, and advertise migratory birds. Organizers: Mongolian
